Anke Soemer is an expert in science policy and management. She has been at the Fraunhofer Society since 2015 and works as a senior advisor in the Presidential Department with a focus on research strategy and digital policy. Previously, she was at the Max Planck Society (2000–2015), where she most recently held the position of Head of the Department for Young Scientists, Diversity and the Coordination of Presidential Commissions. Anke Soemer studied public administration and law at the universities of Konstanz and Ottawa and received her doctorate at the Technical University of Munich. She is a certified business trainer & coach and supports organisations and researchers in strategy processes, research planning and transfer.

Content and aim of the workshop
Taking an international perspective, the workshop aims to help early career researchers to assess their current position and reflect their career goals. It provides an overview of the German research and innovation system and addresses both the opportunities and challenges associated with consolidating a research career, including intersectoral mobility. Overall, the workshop is designed to facilitate career decision-making in a highly competitive work environment characterised by project funding and temporary employment contracts.

Methods

Diese Veranstaltung gehört zum Anmeldeset "Beschränkte Teilnehmendenanzahl: Exploring your career options in the German research and innovation system - Dr. Anke Soemer - Zielgruppe: Promovierende und Postdocs (R1 und R2)".
Folgende Regeln gelten für die Anmeldung:
  • Es wird eine festgelegte Anzahl von Plätzen in den Veranstaltungen verteilt.
    Die Plätze in den betreffenden Veranstaltungen wurden am 21.11.2025 um 12:00 verteilt. Weitere Plätze werden evtl. über Wartelisten zur Verfügung gestellt.
  • Die Anmeldung ist möglich von 16.09.2025, 08:00 bis 17.11.2025, 08:00.

Die Auswahl der Teilnehmenden wird nach der Eintragung manuell vorgenommen.
