Kommentar/Beschreibung

After successfully completing this module, students will have mastered the basic principles and techniques for designing, implementing and evaluating systems for data preparation and integration. In addition, students have subject-specific knowledge to understand basic problems in the field of data engineering and to solve them by applying the skills they have learned.
The module is divided into two parts. The first part deals with theoretical fundamentals. In addition to basic data structures and algorithmic solution paradigms (complexity classes, runtime analysis), this includes graph-theoretical algorithms, dynamic programming as well as search and hashing algorithms.

The second part is dedicated to their use in various techniques from the areas of data preparation and data integration. This includes data cleaning, schema matching and data matching.
