Kommentar/Beschreibung

The one-day course teaches the basics of scientific writing for doctoral and postdoctoral students at the Faculty of Applied Computer Science. It is part of the graduate program of our faculty and is usually offered once a year by Wortwirtschaft.

The workshop is led by Elisabeth Grenzebach from Wortwirtschaft. Ms Grenzebach has many years of experience teaching scientific writing and publishing at the Fraunhofer Institute and Bavarian educational elite such as the Technical University of Munich, Ludwig Maximilian University and the University of Augsburg. She also delivers training in journalistic writing, contemporary correspondence, professional PR, advertising copywriting and technical writing to companies.

Participants work on examples from the course script. Together, they analyse and improve excerpts with Ms Grenzebach. Working with technical texts, positive examples, text modules and checklists ensures long-lasting learning success. Simple rules and numerous easy-to-implement examples will be discussed and tested together. The atmosphere will be relaxed. This will make the seminar enjoyable despite the high learning intensity, awakening the joy of writing!
