The aim of the course is to enable students to know, analyze and apply different concepts of corporate governance in the context of (corporate) entrepreneurship. Theoretical aspects as well as thoughts behind will be highlighted and students will learn to understand and evaluate their impact on performance. Of particular focus will be key governance theories, the role and influence of market and institutional mechanisms and future developments within the field. Overall, students should learn to use and interpret governance concepts as well as to apply them to concrete situations. Themes - Different theoretical concepts of corporate governance - Principles of (corporate) entrepreneurship - Market and institutional mechanisms - Future-oriented developments in the field • 24 max. Participants – Selection Process (CV/resume and academic transcript, submit under "Files"/"Dateien" on the course page on Digicampus • 12 2-Person Teams for the Term Paper • Course Language – English • 4 main course appointments: o May 2nd, 2025 – Kickoff, Logistics und Block-Instruction (Main Course Content) 9:00-13:00, Lunch break, 14:00-18:00 o June 5th, 2025 – Mid-term Presentations 9:00-13:00, Lunch break, 14:00-18:00 o July 11th, 2025 – Final Presentations 9:00-13:00, Lunch break, 14:00-18:00 o July 25th, 2025 – Final Term Paper Submission Deadline - 17:00 (by email to Prof. Dr. Menter) As the number of places is limited, please apply via Digicampus by uploading your CV and Studies report (transcript) in the "Upload Application Here" folder.
