Miscellanea Dozent: Dr. Sascha Vogel
Dr. Sascha Vogel Sascha ist Theoretischer Physiker. Nach einer Karriere in der Wissenschaft (Promotion 2009, Postdoc im Ausland bis 2011) wechselte er 2011 in das Wissen­schafts­manage­ment. Bis 2016 koordinierte er eine Helmholtz-Graduiertenschule bis 2016, von 2016 bis 2019 leitete er als Managing Director die Frankfurt International Graduate School for Science. Ende 2019 gründete er die science birds GmbH. Hier kombiniert er seine Passion für Wissenschaft, Wissen­schafts­kom­mu­ni­ka­tion und der Ausbildung von Nach­wuchs­wissen­schaft­ler­innen und -wissen­schaft­lern.

Effective scientific communication is more than just sharing data—it’s about engaging your audience, delivering complex ideas with clarity, and leaving a lasting impact. This course equips scientists and researchers with the skills needed to present their work with confidence and presence.
Through interactive lectures, hands-on exercises, and personalized feedback, participants will learn how to craft compelling scientific presentations, refine their delivery techniques, and captivate their audience.

Key Objectives:
• Know Your Audience: Learn how to tailor your message to different audiences, from experts in your field to policymakers and any other audience. Discover techniques for making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging.
• Body Language: Understand the role of posture, gestures, facial expressions, and eye contact in reinforcing your message. Develop a confident and authentic presence that enhances credibility.
• Presence: Explore voice modulation, pacing, and movement to command attention and create a dynamic stage presence. Learn strategies to manage nerves and project confidence in high-stakes presentations.
• Impactful Visuals: Create clear and effective slides that enhance your message rather than distract from it.
• Engage and Persuade: Explore storytelling techniques and audience interaction to make your presentation memorable and persuasive.

By the end of this course, participants will have the tools and confidence to deliver compelling scientific presentations that inform, inspire, and influence their audience.
