Comment/Description

This course focuses on state-of-the-art methods for collecting data on learning and instruction at person, process, and context level. The aim is to help students deepen their knowledge and understanding of research methods by encouraging them use methods of their choice to collect own empirical data. This course focuses on test, survey, and observation methods, and also includes qualitative approaches and the use of physiological data. Furthermore, students can develop their understanding on test theory, computer-aided data collection, standards for educational and psychological assessment and measurement, and validation in educational contexts.
