Comment/Description

Anhand zeitgenössischer wissenschaftlicher Literatur werden im Seminar ausgewählte Themen behandelt, die um die Begriffe von Erkenntnis, Wissenschaft, Wahrheit und Fälschung kreisen. Dabei werden u.a. folgende Fragen analysiert und diskutiert: Was kann als verlässliches wissenschaftliches Wissen gelten? Sind anti-wissenschaftliche Positionen auf dem Vormarsch? Weshalb sind Menschen anfällig für Fake News, Verschwörungsthesen und Lügen? Wie verändert sich vor diesem Hintergrund der gesellschaftliche Diskurs? Welche Rolle spielen hierbei die „sozialen Medien“? Welche Gefahren gehen hiervon für die Demokratie aus?
