| Voraussetzungen | Before the beginning of the semester, students must buy and read Colson Whitehead’s The Underground Railroad (Vintage edition, 2018, ISBN 978-0345804327). Access to Prime Video is necessary for the adaptation. In addition, students need to purchase/ensure access to their respective research texts and media. General course readings and the list of project texts and media will be made available via Digicampus by October 10th. Primary texts and media for individual projects must be selected by the end of October. |

Project seminar with active participation, continuous project work and final poster presentations as well as interpretive essays (HS part of 10 CP modules) or term papers (8 CP modules). The length of written submissions has been adjusted to the overall workload. Please note: For the 10-CP combination M.A. modules EAS-1854 and EAS-1914, this course is to be combined with the Ü “African Diasporas: Theories and Approaches” (Nadine Ellinger). Portfolio tasks for these modules as well as for EAS-1784, 1785, 1786: research poster (incl. oral presentation) and interpretive essay. |
