Comment/Description

The obligatory course “Introduction to the Teaching of English” is accompanied by a tutorial which is offered by several lecturers. The tutorials are designed to allow students to derive the maximum benefit from the lecture by providing a supportive context for the focused exploration of topics which are covered in the introductory course. The prime focus is placed on teacher and learners, methods and approaches, competences and objectives, assessment and testing. Moreover, some teaching ideas to be applied in a TEFL classroom will be tried out in the practical part of this course.
