Kommentar/Beschreibung

Natural Language Processing (NLP) aims to enable computers to understand, interpret, and generate human language and is thus an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of linguistics, computer science, and artificial intelligence. Recent advances in NLP have been driven by the availability of large datasets and the development of powerful deep learning models.

This course covers the core concepts of state-of-the-art deep-learning-based natural language processing (NLP) including basic machine learning concepts, word embeddings, neural networks, transformers, language models, text classification, sequence labeling, machine translation, parsing, and ethics in NLP. The practical part of the course will introduce Python-based NLP (prior knowledge of Python or participating in the Introduction to Python course is highly recommended).
