Kommentar/Beschreibung

This seminar is for exchange students at the University of Augsburg. Its main aim is to explore the German (academic) culture in a relaxed, dynamic learning atmosphere. This course will help you find out how to deal with the challenges you might face in Germany. You can try out interactive exercises and develop your own ways of coping with the new and unfamiliar. You will meet other international students and will have the opportunity to share your experiences with them and learn from each other. Mutual feedback and joint discussions also help you gain interesting insights into German culture and the way the other experience it. It is important to develop your own strategies which are useful to master intercultural encounters and misunderstandings.

Seminar participants are expected to participate actively, as this seminar course thrives on rich discussions and exchange of personal intercultural experiences. No previous knowledge or courses about Germany are necessary to participate in this course.
