All students interested in working on the problems of this year's German Physicists' Tournament and eventually to be part of a team participating in the tournament are welcome.
Voraussetzungen
You should enjoy working on physics problems. The problem set for 2020 will be released soon. Until then, you can get an idea of the kind of problems by taking a look at the problems of last year at https://germany.iptnet.info/problems/ .
The purpose of this course is to prepare a team for the German Physicists' Tournament 2020 to be held on December 12 and 13, 2020. In short, the tournament runs over several rounds with each round consisting of three so-called physics fights in which three teams take part. In each fight, one team presents its solution to the chosen problem, a second team takes the role of the opponent who should critically discuss the previous presentation, and the third team reviews the presentation and the ensuing discussion and tries to assess strengths and weaknesses.
The problems to be discussed at the tournament will be published several months before the event so that there is sufficient time to work on them to an to prepare a presentation.
