After passing this course students know the most important methodological aspects of advanced data analysis in financial contexts and have acquired the following skills:
- Understand and apply concepts and methods to process structured market data, esp. pricing data.
- Understand the basic principles of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytic approaches to support financial decision-making processes.
- Know and apply a skill set suited for addressing related unstructured decision situations that require advanced data processing and analysis.
- Understand, apply and evaluate methods and tools required in descriptive data analytics in financial contexts.
- Understand, apply and evaluate approaches for advanced data analytics, especially data and text mining techniques in financial contexts.
