Kommentar/Beschreibung

This course introduces the drug development process in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, with a focus on how informatics, data science, and regulatory aspects shape modern drug discovery. Given the interdisciplinary background of students in the Medical Information Sciences program, the course will integrate aspects of biomedical data analysis, clinical trial informatics, and regulatory frameworks to illustrate the critical role of digital technologies in pharmaceutical R&D. Students will gain insights into preclinical research, clinical trial design, regulatory approval, and commercialization, preparing them for career paths in biotech, pharma, and health informatics.
