| Voraussetzungen | (Advanced) Knowledge in service operations management, operations research, modeling, and mathematics (including Linear Programming); knowledge in optimization (e.g. IBM ILOG) software is assumed; knowledge of a programming language (e.g. Java) is beneficial. |
| Lernorganisation | At the end of the module, the students are familiar with optimization problems arising in many practical applications and functional areas. They are able to model these problems mathematically, to understand the problem complexity, and to implement their models in order to solve the problems and interpret the solutions. This enables them to analyze service operations management problems and to make sound decisions in term of effectiveness and efficiency. |
