Co-creation is a catchall term that denotes the inclusion of stakeholders in the design and development of products and communications. Co-creation in the framework of creativity is a way to create products, and services that includes more than one party. This is a development of previous notions of participation in new media such as user-generated content, and prosumers. There are various constellations of co-creation, such as collaborative work between users, participation in industrial projects, or industries collaboration with users. The last option is commonly known as coproduction. In this MA course, we will be learning about the co-creative process and frameworks that ensure the inclusion of the users in the process such as particpatory design, audience inclusion and particpatory action research. Students will apply the co-creative process to revamp the web-site of specific government organization. Students will have to work with stakeholders to create a new innovative web concept.
