Kommentar/Beschreibung

Copying, sketching and creation is a three-in-one teaching system in Chinese painting. Classic copying is the foundation of sketching and creation, and requires the understanding of the basic procedures of painting, learning of painting skills and grasp of the formula and language features of national art.
The copying models in this course are fine brushwork of flower-and-bird paintings in the Song Dynasty. Painting works in the Song Dynasty are the most distinguished tradition in Chinese painting. Fine brushwork of flower-and-bird paintings depicts animals and plants with exquisite, prudent and fine techniques, shows the integrated subjective and objective aesthetic relationship between man and nature in China and the specific way of observing the world in China as well as the way of expressing emotions.
Through the appreciation and copying of fine brushwork of flower-and-bird paintings, the course intends to understand the formation and development of traditional Chinese paintings with fine brushwork, know the artistic achievements of traditional Chinese paintings with fine brushwork in all dynasties and grasp the basic skills and gist of painting.
