Modulzuordnungen

Kommentar/Beschreibung

The lecture addresses current topics in the context of DevOps and modern software delivery in health IT.
The contents include:
- Introduction to DevOps principles and culture
- Version control and collaborative workflows (Git, branching, code review)
- Build automation and test strategies (unit, integration, system tests; test pyramid)
- Continuous Integration (CI) and deployment pipelines
- Containerization and service deployment (e.g. Docker, basic orchestration)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Monitoring, logging, and basic observability
- Security, compliance, and traceability in clinical and regulated environments

After the course, students should be able to:
- Explain key DevOps concepts (CI/CD, IaC, containerization, observability, GitOps).
- Design and implement a small system (e.g. web or FHIR-based service) with:
- Automated build and test pipeline.
- Automated deployment to a staging/production-like environment.
- Apply basic security and quality assurance concepts (linting, tests, SBOM, secrets handling).
- Reflect on DevOps in regulated domains (e.g. health/medical), including traceability and documentation.

Die Auswahl der Teilnehmenden wird nach der Eintragung manuell vorgenommen.

Limited number of seats available. Medical informatics students take precedence over other study directions. If we have too many sign-ups we might open a second group on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday. Distribution of seats in the week before semester starts.
