INFORMATION FOR BACHELOR STUDENTS (INF-2823 - MIS Talk for Bachelor)
20 research presentations must be attended (typically within two to three semesters). Three of the presentations attended have to be summarised in writing. The length of the summaries is to be two pages. The submission of the summaries is due by the end of the semester, in which the registration via Studis is completed. For your submissions, there will be a folder called "Submission of Summaries" available in the 'files area' in digicampus.
You receive 4 ECTS for this course.
The research lectures can be chosen freely from the lecture programs at the University of Augsburg, the University Hospital Augsburg and from programs of other research institutions, but they must be related to the field of medical informatics with regard to content.
When attending an external conference on the topic of medical information sciences, a maximum of two presentations is eligible for this course, even though more presentations may have been attended.



INFORMATION FOR MASTER STUDENTS (old examination regulations / alte Prüfungsordnung: INF-0458 - Current Topics in MIS)
30 research presentations must be attended (typically within three semesters). Five of the presentations attended have to be summarised in writing. The length of the summaries is to be 800 words. The submission of the summaries is due by the end of the semester, in which the registration via Studis is completed. For your submissions, there will be a folder called "Submission of Summaries" available in the 'files area' in digicampus.
You receive 5 ECTS for this course.

INFORMATION FOR MASTER STUDENTS (new examination regulations / neue Prüfungsordnung: INF-3841 - MIS Talk for Master)
20 research presentations must be attended (typically within two to three semesters). For three of the presentations attended, you have to prepare a handout that contextualises the content of the presentation with regard to the field of research MIS.
Finally, you have to prepare one of your handouts for a presentation you will give in a corresponding Master´s class. The submission of the handouts is due by the end of the semester, in which the registration via Studis is completed. For your submissions, there will be a folder called "Submission of Handouts" available in the 'files area' in digicampus.
Your presentation should last about 20 minutes and address the content of the presentation you are referring to as well as additional literature and background knowledge. Please contact Dr. Dominik Müller in advance for the preparation and coordination of your presentation. Your presentation will not be graded.
