Comment/Description

Modern machine learning methods for classification, regression, and clustering, and advanced deep learning methods are typically formulated in a probabilistic way. This course teaches fundamentals and advanced methods in probabilistic machine learning to enable students to understand and use these models. We will study probabilistic views on machine learning and learn how to handle uncertainty in data, models, and predictions. For example, we will cover topics such as inference and learning in probabilistic graphical models, probabilistic deep learning, and generative AI methods such as probabilistic diffusion models.
