I am already using Python code in some of my projects and have some experience, but I want to learn it at a higher level, which will allow me to create more large-scale projects and, in the future, get involved in more interesting projects at IT companies. Unfortunately, I don’t have any other courses that require Python skills. Currently, I also don’t have any internships where Python programming knowledge is needed. Nevertheless, I hope there will be a spot for me in this course.

Furthermore i got into computer science because i built little games with Pygame so i have some experience with the programming language, but i would like to build a solid foundation in it. In addition most of my courses seem to be very dry and theoretical this semester, so i would be keen to learn something more hands-on. Best regards

I'm an exchange student from Sweden and from the catalogue this course is one of few that's in English and suited for foreign students. I have some experience in Python since some of our courses require programming in Python for our lab work. Although the programming has been either minimal or only in beginner level. Therefore I wish to partake in this course to learn programming in Python since I believe it will be required for work and even for my thesis/exam work for when I'm back in Sweden. I'm also partaking the deep learning courses and other that require Python, but I also want to deepen my knowledge because I've heard there's usage in Python when working in AI and big data.

The compulsory course "Signal Processing and Machine Learning" requires solid Python skills. I am taking the exam this semester and it will mostly consist of programming exercises (I took the compulsory course in question last year already, but decided to not take the exam because of too many other exams and therefore not enough preparation time for this specfic one). I might also consider taking Organic Computing into one of my electable courses, which requires Python skills (10 ECTS of electable courses need to be aquired in my CS major). Since I'm in 9th semester this winter term, I might also consider writing my thesis in one of the aforementioned fields next summer.
  • Elias Kunz
I want to take this course because I will likely need Python in my future career. My goal is to become a proficient software developer who can work with various programming languages. I'm also learning Python during the semester break using the book "Python: Der Grundkurs" by Michael Kofler. Additionally, I want to improve my English skills, making this course the perfect fit for me.
