This course offers an introduction to using Python for geospatial data analysis in a Jupyter Notebook environment. Participants will generate synthetic geospatial data using a Large Language Model (LLM) and work with this data to create and analyze maps. Through practical exercises, attendees will explore Python’s capabilities for reading, visualizing, and manipulating geodata using various libraries. The course emphasizes hands-on experience, guiding learners to understand key concepts like data handling, coordinate reference systems, and geocoding. By the end, participants will be able to create interactive maps, critically compare datasets, and gain insights into Python’s potential for geospatial analysis. |
