Due to the high demand, places will be drawn by lot after the registration deadline.
After the draw has taken place, you will either be finally admitted or removed from the course in Digicampus.

Attendance will be checked on each date. Students who are absent (without handing in a medical certificate) will be excluded from the course.
We would therefore ask you to ensure that you are available on all six dates. Otherwise, we would like to ask you to withdraw from the course before the places are drawn.

Comment/Description

Learning Outcomes / Competences:
Subject-related competencies:
After successful participation in the course, students will be familiar with diverse theories and constructs in the field
of intercultural management. Students will develop an in-depth understanding of various cultural dimensions as well
as the conflict potential and enrichment associated with cultural diversity in the context of international business
relationships.
Methodological competencies:
Students are able to analyze business issues from the perspective of different cultural circumstances and present
approaches to solutions in a structured manner, taking into account different cultural dimensions. They are familiar
with relevant practices for dealing with intercultural encounters and issues.
Interdisciplinary competencies:
Students learn to think multi-perspectively and to solve problems considering different cultural dimensions. Students
are sensitized to cultural and religious diversity and are able to apply what they have learned not only in more
advanced courses at the Faculty of Business and Economics, but beyond - including the students' everyday lives.
Key competencies:
Students are able to systematically analyze issues from international business life as well as problems from everyday
professional life in an international context. In doing so, they understand how to reduce international issues to their
core and to view them from the perspective of different cultural backgrounds.

Admission settings

The course is part of admission "Beschränkte Teilnehmendenanzahl: Intercultural Management".
The following rules apply for the admission:
  • The following categories of people are preferred during seat allocation:
    • Subject is Global Business Management (353 persons)

    Higher semesters will be preferred.
  • The enrolment is possible from 16.10.2023, 09:00 to 25.10.2023, 12:00.
  • A defined number of seats will be assigned to these courses.
    The seats in the affected courses have been assigned at 25.10.2023 on 20:59. Additional seats may be available via a wait list.

Registration mode

After enrolment, participants will manually be selected.
