Comment/Description

Während die normative Ethik begründete Aussagen über das konkrete Handeln trifft (wie etwa „Du sollst nicht lügen“), untersucht die Metaethik die Begründungsmethoden und die Bedeutung der dabei verwendeten Moralsprache. Die Metaethik untersucht insbesondere die Wahrheitsfähigkeit der Aussagen der normativen Ethik. Sind unsere moralischen Normen nur Ausdruck emotionaler oder gar evolutionärer Gegebenheiten, sind sie reine Konventionen oder beruhen sie auf objektiven Werten und Strukturen in der Welt? Dieses Seminar geht der Debatte über den moralischen Realismus und moralischen Antirealismus (Kognitivismus und Nonkognitivismus) nach und soll auch einen Blick auf die klassische Naturrechtslehre werfen.
