Remarks: - This module is suitable as an extension to the module 'Plasmaphysik und Fusionsforschung'. - The two lectures of this module can be followed in an arbitrary order. Thus, the module can be started at a summer or winter term. Starting at a winter term is recommended, however, for participants who do not have any prior knowledge about plasma physics or nuclear fusion. Contents: Introduction to the module Properties of Plasmas (short introduction to plasma physics) Basics of Nuclear Fusion Plasma-Wall Interaction Damage Mechanisms Analysis Methods Part 1: Ion Beam Analysis, Thermal Desorption, Permeation Analysis Methods Part 2: Microscopy, Surface Analysis (summer semester) High Heat Flux Testing, Experiments in Fusion Devices, Simulations (summer semester) Materials Choices (summer semester) Advanced Material Concepts for the First Wall in Fusion Reactors (summer semester) Structural Materials and Components for Nuclear Fusion (summer semester) |
ECTS-Punkte | 6 (for entire module) |
