Module assignments

Comment/Description

This course includes both theory and practice. It provides an overview of different digital technologies and how they can be used in EFL lessons with young learners (focus on classes 1-6). You will be introduced to the theoretical underpinnings of the use of classroom technology, such as Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), as well as the research and best practice in the field. In addition, you will work with texts, learn about empirical evidence for the use of digital tools in EFL teaching and learning, and independently and actively engage with questions about the use of digital technologies in English language teaching. You will also be encouraged to work with some of the tools, to try them out, to design and create tasks and exercises, and to learn about the benefits and limitations of the tools.
Active and independent participation in the theoretical and practical content of the seminar is expected and required.

Da es sich um ein Blockseminar mit einer Vorbesprechung im September handelt, werden alle Plätze bereits am 30.08.2024 verteilt. Eine Anmeldung während der regulären Anmeldephase ist nicht möglich.
