Comment/Description

In this seminar we will focus on the skill of speaking in English as a foreign language (EFL) learning. Topics to be covered include:
- Speaking processes and skills
- Speaking competence
- Spoken discourse
- Designs and approaches to teaching speaking
- Classroom practices
- Speaking and digital technologies
- Assessing speaking
We will also analyse different types of speaking tasks and exercises, including some from course books, and evaluate their potential to stimulate and support oral communication in English language learning. You will also be encouraged to design, create, present, and evaluate your own speaking tasks and exercises. You should be prepared to participate in (group-) learning tasks in the seminar.
Active and independent participation in the theoretical and practical part of the seminar is expected and required.

Für diesen Kurs werden alle Kursplätze im Zeitraum vom 12.08.2024 bis 28.08.2024 für die Anmeldung geöffnet. Da es sich um ein Blockseminar mit einer Vorbesprechung im September handelt, werden alle Plätze bereits am 30.08.2024 verteilt. Eine Anmeldung während der regulären Anmeldephase ist nicht möglich.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass in der vorgezogenen Anmeldephase Studierende in höheren Fachsemestern bei der Verteilung der Plätze priorisiert werden.
